Departure from the airport or the city in the morning. After driving 208 km (Some 3 hours) arrive in Hattusas (Today's Bogazkoy and UNESCO World Heritage Site) that was the capital of the Hittite Kingdom for a long time. Before visiting the main capital proceed to Yazılıkaya, 3 km far away, to see the open air sanctuary with its two galleries as the sun light comes on the limestone bas-reliefs direct in the morning. Time for lunch. In the afternoon visit to the capital of Hattusas with its 7-km long walls with Lion’s Gate, Tunnel (The Pottern), King’s Gate and then proceed to Citadel (King's Palace) and Grand Temple, mostly dating to the late Hittite Empire period. Then drive back to Ankara.
